Bureau of Indian Affairs TCV
The Challenge
The Bureau of Indian Affairs Office of Justice Services (BIA-OJS) is responsible for disaster preparedness, response and recovery on U.S. tribal lands.
Tribal lands are often in remote areas with limited communication which is a challenge for emergency responders. For this reason the BIA purchased (6) six of Nomad’s Tactical Command Vehicles(TCV) which have been used during events like wildfires, floods and power outages. These communications platforms are designed to provide communications for rapid response efforts, as well as short term infrastructure replacement. Additionally, the TCV provides tactical response for the U.S. Department of the Interior and allows for the Incident Command System/Structure (ICS) to expand and contract as much as necessary.
